ISO Accredited Software Development Agency in Scotland
In 2016 Pinnacle Thistle started working with SwarmOnline to develop their integrated management system to enable them to become ISO 9001:2015 accredited.
Swarm had taken the decision to become ISO accredited because of the increasing demand from their enterprise clients to demonstrate that they have robust procedures and processes in place for delivering quality and an excellent service consistently for each client. Swarm’s managing director, Andrew Duncan, said “working with Stuart has given us the knowledge and confidence to build a complete management system. He worked with us to develop it in such a way that we can adapt it for the future needs of the business.”
Indeed, Swarm has gone on to expand on this. During the process of developing their integrated management system, Swarm took the decision to apply to become ISO 27001 accredited too.
They said “Shortly after achieving our ISO 9001:2015 certification towards the end of October 2016, we embarked on the journey to our next goal – ISO 27001:2013 certification. This particular certification focuses on the security aspects of a business. The standard focuses on the implementation of a management system to manage and control security risks, to protect and preserve information.”
Pinnacle Thistle worked onsite with SwarmOnline to develop the first version of their quality manual and integrated management system (IMS). This involved having to learn their key business processes then document and describe them for their IMS. While Swarm had some processes and procedures documented we were required to refine these and produce everything into a consistent way for the business.
Throughout the engagement, Pinnacle Thistle managed the relationship with SwarmOnline’s chosen Certification Body (British Assessment Bureau) and lead the certification audits.
Since then, Pinnacle Thistle has continued to engage with SwarmOnline to advise on continually developing their IMS, managing internal audits and preparing for surveillance audits.
